NRA CET

Common Eligibility Test

Union Cabinet has approved the creation of National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to conduct common online exams for Non Gazette Group B and C positions for various central and public banks. Common Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted by National Recruitment Agency (NRA) which will replace nearly 50 exams conducted by different recruiting agencies for more than one lakh government jobs. As proposed Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by National Recruitment Agency (NRA) would be single online exam and its score will be valid for three years. CET score will be valid for 3 years.

NRA would conduct CET in 12 languages twice a year. 

Initially National Recruitment Agency (NRA) would conduct Common Entrance Test (CET) for 3 agencies only however it would cover all 20 recruitment agencies. 

There will be unlimited attempts for CET conducted by NRA within prescribed age limit of the candidates. Highest score will be considered for the purpose of recruitment. To make the examination process comfortable for candidates, NRA will conduct CET in 1000 centers across the country with atleast one center in every district. NRA would also ensure that candidate’s examination center is with in district. 


CET score will be generated immediately and this score will be avilable for NRA and student for better transparency.  National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will have its headquarter in New Delhi. Representatives from railway ministry, finance ministry, SSC, RRB and IBPS will be part of the governing board.


Level I – Matric Level – Qualification Required 10th from Recognized Board.
Level II – Higher Secondary Level - Qualification Required 10+2 or Intermediate from Recognized Board. 
Level III - Graduation Level - Qualification Required Graduation from Recognized University.
