CSEET

Institute of Companies Secretaries of (ICSI) proposed a numbers of amendments in Company Secretaries Regulations 1982 (Regulations) to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, government of India. Government of India vide Letter No. 3/3/2018 – Pl dated 17.01.2020 has communicated its approval to the said amendments. Highlights of the amendments are
  • ·         Introduction of CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) in place of CS Foundation Porgramme for registration of CS Course
  • ·         Introduction of uniform training structure of 24 months for the students after executive programme
  • ·         Gap of 6 months between enrollment and examination (for executive programme and professional programme examination)
  • ·         Orientation programme for the members for the issuance of Certificate of Practice
  • ·         Pre examination test for enrollment of examinations
 CSEET will be a Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based On-line Test which will conduct at designated Test Centers across India. CS Executive Entrance Test will be open throughout the year and the students can register at any time for the test at pre selected date and time by paying a prescribed fee. Fee, once paid would be for one attempt and it will be non refundable. However, students can change test date one time two days before the examination, without payment of any additional fee, if he or she is unable to take the Test on the selected date and time due to any reason. The result of the Test will be known to the student immediately after completion of the Test.
CSEET will be a test of 200 marks. There will be four subjects so 50 marks for each subject.
To clear CSEET students must score an aggregate of 50 % and minimum 40% marks in each subject. There will be negative marking of 25% for every wrong answer.
CSEET marks will be valid for one year from the date of CSEET for taking admission in the Executive Programme.


CSEET Syllabus

Students who have passed Senior Secondary (XII) examination or equivalent to XII from a Board / University constituted by law in India or any other higher examination recognized by the Central / State Government will be eligible to appear in CSEET.
 

Students who have cleared any of the follwing exams or hold any of the following qualification will be eligible for direct admission to the Executive Programme:
i) Final Examination (by whatever name called) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India;
ii) Five Year Full Time Integrated Course of Law;
iii) MBA from IIM, FMS and other Institutes as may be decided by the Council;
iv) Following examinations are considered as equivalent to CSEET and candidates having such minimum score / rank as may be decided by the Council will be eligible for admission to the Executive Programme:    
    GMAT;
    CLAT;
    LSAT;
    JEE (Main);
    NEET;
    GRE;
Preliminary Examination for Civil Services conducted by the UPSE.
The validity of the above results will be one year for the purpose of taking admission to the Executive Programme.
