(3) 3 km/hr 

(4) 10 km/hr

Answer: 15 km/hr 

Example: A boat moves downstream at the rate of 8 km per hour and upstream at 4 km per hour. The speed of the boat in still waters is :

(1) 4.5 km per hour

(2) 5 km per hour

(3) 6 km per hour

(4) 6.4 km per hour

Answer: 6 km per hour
